The Future . . . Our Children

Spiritual education for children is a key element of Religious Science. It serves to gently and lovingly support each child's spiritual growth, while nurturing his or her natural awareness of the light within. Children come into the world with an intuitive understanding of the Spirit that created them. They are natural "practitioners" of joy, delight, truth, and kindness. It is our goal to help them hold on to this wonderful gift. We do that through a curriculum designed to affirm their inner beliefs rather than attempting to replace them with dogma.

Our Junior Church faculty teaches children to honor themselves and each other, to reinforce their inner connection to Spirit, and to respect all spiritual paths. The curriculum includes brief lessons, song, crafts, dance, and story-telling.

All classes are supervised by a minimum of two faculty to ensure the safety and security of our children, and provide an effective learning experience. Our faculty is comprised of members of the Church of Religious Science. They receive ongoing training and guidance, and serve on a volunteer basis.

We support the journey to adulthood by setting a good example, by living our beliefs and our values, and by reinforcing our children's positive choices. At the same time, we help them see and understand the consequences of negative or harmful choices.

Our children are the architects of the future. It is incumbent upon us to prepare them well for the decisions they will make, the paths they will choose.
